Last February 17, JLRC donated its 30 classroom chairs to Buklod Tao, an SEC-registered, non-profit organization that reinforces the capacity of communities to respond to disasters and enhance their environment. (FB page: https://www.facebook.com/BuklodTao)
JLRC used the classroom chairs for a number of years, kept in well-maintained condition, utilizing them in its physical in-house classes. When the Covid-19 Pandemic forced the stoppage of physical classes, the chairs haven’t been used since. Instead of letting the classroom chairs being kept unused, JLRC decided to donate the chairs to a foundation / organization which helps children. After careful research, JLRC chose Buklod Tao to be the recipients of the classroom chairs.
Buklod Tao team, headed by Manuel “Ka Nilo” Abinales, traveled from their headquarters in San Mateo, Rizal to JLRC’s main office in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila to pick up the classroom chairs. JLRC’s President, Mr. Toshihiro Miyagawa, was present to facilitate the hand-over of the chairs.
